Our Utopia

We have been staying at The Bellevue each year for 20 years. Four are now twelve and we use the entire variety of their housing from cottage and apartments to rooms. All great. The Bellevue is historic and relaxing Block Island at its best. It has the breezes of a high hill, the view of the ocean, arefreshing three blocksaunter to the little town, great continental breakfast or all you need to cook with in the apartments. A large yard is perfect for little ones as is the petting zoo across the street - very busy with the toddler set in the morning so others can sleep. Rooms are clean and casual. Those who work on vacationwill find all sorts of computer related facilities downtown so those who are escaping on the Bellevue porch can do just that. Some rooms even have heat if you want to come late in the season. Over the years we have looked at many alternatives and find this perfect for our businessmen, suburban mothers, type A children, artist grandmother, a family who loves nature, fresh air and good food. Perhaps the best recommendation is to share how each grandchild grows into our love of the Bellevue as they get older. Going there each year is always the favorite part of the year for us all!
