Pines Motor Lodge Inn, Westbury

This is a Classic ! great for a one or two hour fulfillment; really interesting people during the day; cost efficient and worth every penny

The Pines is not the place to stay if you're looking for a nice room to sleep in with the family. It's known in the area as a short stay motel. It's also used by the county's department of social services and some of the local churches to house the homeless. You must be buzzed into the office, yet there is no outside security. There is never really a quiet time, since people will check in for 3 hours and then leave. For peace of mind and safety, pay a few extra dollars and stay at the Holiday Inn or Red Roof Inn in Westbury.

Upon checking it at the Pines Motor Lodge in Westbury I was incredibly disappointed at the appearance of the motel. It is incredibly run down and allows for people to loiter at all hours of the night. I was frightened to stay here with my two children and chose to leave and stay at the Holiday Inn down the street. I called to cancel my room and was told there would be no problem--full refund. However, after getting my bill the motel did not give me a full refund and kept over $60.00. When I called to clear up the situation the hotel manager, Debbie, was argumentative and condescending and refused to return my money regardless of the fact that I never even walked to my room. Do not stay here thinking you will save some money---it is not worth it!!!!!!!!!!
