Heaven on Earth
The gourmet breakfast every day is not to be missed. They will bring it to you, or you can sit on the veranda and listen to the birds. Example: grand marnier french toast, apple turkey sausage (best in the world), and Belgian waffles with strawberry butter.
We stayed in the Hunterdon suite for three nights - expensive, but oh so worth it for a husband and wife looking for a romantic getaway. The fireplace switches on and off with a light switch - convenient, but lovely. The two person jacuzzi tub fit the two of us comfortably (we're both about 5'8" and 150 lbs.). The two person shower is also awesome. Wireless internet access - cool. Ask if you can feed the sheep. The in-room massage is also awesome.
I recommend a waterfall-side table at the Stockton Inn for lunch or dinner, and a late night drink. The towpath trail is nearby and is long, flat, and shaded for a comfortable bike ride. Getting back up the hill to the inn can be challenging. The innkeepers will help you get bikes if you need them. Stroll around New Hope for trendy and artsy stuff, then go back to Lambertville to escape the crowds.
Lilly's in Lambertville also highly recommended for lunch.
They provide iron and board, refrig w/freezer, stocked w/ice, and free soda, water, and juice. Beautiful robes, extra pillows and blankets. Excellent coffee and maker in room. They did not forget touches such as corkscrew/bottle opener, binoculars (for bird watching), and cotton balls, qtips, bath salts, etc. in the bathroom besides the standard shampoo, conditioner, soap. Plenty of towels. Feather bed is unbelievably soft. I am allergic to feather pillows, so they gave me some lovely synthetic pillows, and I was fine. We *cannot wait* to go back again.
