Railroad House Restaurant Bed & Breakfast, Marietta

We were very much looking forward to having a nice dinner at the Railroad House. Sadly, this was not the case. We arrived on time for our reservations, were seated, and then waited and waited. After about 25 minutes a server asked us if anyone had taken our drink order yet. We told her no, not yet, she told us that some servers had called off and that they were doing the best that they could. Our drinks arrived about 15 minutes later, and in all fairness she said they were on the house for waiting so long. We ordered our entree. I ordered my steak medium, I know all restaurants vary on this term and I an OK with med rare, med to med well. After another very long wait our meals arrived. My husbands steak was done as he specified, however my steak was so rare that it was cold and raw inside. Both of our vegetables were cold. It took 15 minutes for the server to come back to see if the meal was OK. We asked if the steak could be sent back to be prepared closer to medium. My steak now arrives at the table black on the inside no pink inside at all. Of course my husband will not start his meal until I am served, so needless to say we were very disapointed and we will never go back, nor would we recommend this restaurant.

We were there on Wednesday. appetizer was served cold, hot tea was served cold, and one of the ingredients on my sandwich was missing. You couldn't pay me to go back!

Very nice little restaurant tucked away near the river in Marietta. The food was good and reasonably priced. Wish the tavern was open in the basement of the property for a couple drinks. Heard they are trying to get the tavern going so we'll see. Will definitely eat there again.
