Super week!
By ,
Lark and michael were very gracious hosts. They directed us to a really fine resteraunt, and helped our planning. Gave us tips and directions to Gettysburg, and much info on visiting the Amish community. Stayed up late one evening with Lark over a bottle of wine. The home is beautiful and tastefully done. Our room was very comfortable, and the bed was heaven. Perhaps the finest experience we have had at a B&B.

Very Nice
By ,
My husband and I stayed at Lovelace Manor for one night. We checked in early. Lark was able to give us information on things to do and directions. She suggested a great resraunt -Dieners- that's run by Menonites. It was great. We didn't spend a lot of time in the B&B. We were given a key to come and go as we pleased. Our room (the Althea room) was pretty. They had wine waiting in the room and home baked brownies downstairs. The house is beautifully decorated.I could tell that they take great pride in their house. It was fun just looking around at the decor. The neighborhood is very compact. It is within a 10-15 drive of all there is to do. We watched a show at the Sight and Sound Theater and got back really late. Everyone was already in bed. We grabbed some drinks, biscotti and homemade cookies and headed upstairs to our room. They also have one of those single serve coffee makers so you can choose whatever flavor of coffe you want. In the hall they have DVDs that you can watch. I wish we would have had time to watch the ones they had on amish living. The bed is VERY comfortable. The pillows are so soft....I could have just stayed in bed. Breakfast was wonderful. They gave us juice (I had blueberry) coffee and water. First course was Fruit with some kind of sauce over it. Next we had a quiche...I usually don't like quiche but this one was really good. The cinnamon muffins were so good. It was a great meal. Lark and Michael were really nice. They were helpful but not overbearing. It seemed that they truely loved having guest in their home.

Best place to stay
By ,
Although we don't live far away, we recently stayed at Lovelace Manor. We will definetly go back! The rooms were large, beautiful and clean. The breakfasts were great. Lark and Michael were wonderful hosts - knowledgable of the area, friendly, and always available. We had alot of fun playing pool in the game room and relaxing on the porch. We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!
