Lovely, convenient and quiet!

I just spent six nights there this past July (2006) and loved it!! The innkeepers were friendly, courteous, and hospitable and knocked themselves out to be accommodating. Complimentary pastry (most of which is baked by the wife of the couple who owns the inn) was avaiable from 7:30-10:00 A. M. on a counter with coffee and water for tea, allowing you to get it when you wanted and take it back to your room. (There is no dining area but a microwave is available for everyone's use.). I liked this scenario because you never had to wait for food or a table the way you do in some hotel breakfast areas and you can plan your day as you eat. The rooms were tastefully and cheerfully decorated and always clean. Room service was quick and dependable. The B&B is in a very convenient location on Route 896 between Lincoln Highway (Route 30) and the Philadelphia Pike, just a mile or so from Bird-in-Hand. I added two days to an original reservation and, through no fault of the innkeepers, had to change rooms because of my "add-on". This was good because I got to see two of the five rooms while I was there. One of the rooms I had overlooked a gorgeous Amish farm. Plenty of information was available about area attractions. The innkeepers were very helpful with recommendations but, at the same time, respected the privacy of their guests. The place was very quiet and had a beautiful porch in the back. I would go back to this B&B in a heartbeat!
