Clean,Quiet,and very home like.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/09
We visited in June to attend the buggie auction in Bird-in-Hand.Our visit was just great!!! Our room was very clean, just wish we could have been on the lower floor because of my 78 year old mom. She made it just fine with the stairs.Maybe next time we'll be lucky enough for the lower floor. The owners was very friendly and very helpful to all our needs. Also the pastries were great!!! I would definitively stay with them again in the furture. You stay and you will not regret it!!!! The Crumley's, Gillsville Ga.

Homestead Lodging was a great place for our recent six night stay in Lancaster County. It is convenient to all the area attractions and makes one feel like they are right at home...Bob, Lori, Sheldon, and Jill quickly became family. The morning pastries prepared by Lori were more than desirable. We enjoyed the family patio for our nightly game of dominoes. We were lulled to sleep by the clip clop of horses on their way to the barn after the farmer's long day finally came to an end. We highly recommend reservations at this lovely bed and breakfast if you are going to be in Lancaster County. We left thinking about when we could return.

great little b & b in Lancaster PA
By paul, 04/13/07
I just completed my stay at The Homestead Lodging today April 12th 2007, and must tell you how wonderful a place this cozy little inn is. The lodge is right in the middle of everything you need to see in Lancaster, and yet is in a beautiful country setting. My room was so cozy, clean and comfortable with a nice view of the farmlands. Bob and Lori who are the innkeepers are so friendly that it makes you feel so welcome. Jill who is their daughter is so warm and gave me a big hug as i left today. Now thats heartwarming. Lori bakes all the goodies on the breakfast bar, and how sweet they are!!!. When in Lancaster you must call lori and make a reservation!!!!

Lovely, convenient and quiet!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/06
I just spent six nights there this past July (2006) and loved it!! The innkeepers were friendly, courteous, and hospitable and knocked themselves out to be accommodating. Complimentary pastry (most of which is baked by the wife of the couple who owns the inn) was avaiable from 7:30-10:00 A. M. on a counter with coffee and water for tea, allowing you to get it when you wanted and take it back to your room. (There is no dining area but a microwave is available for everyone's use.). I liked this scenario because you never had to wait for food or a table the way you do in some hotel breakfast areas and you can plan your day as you eat. The rooms were tastefully and cheerfully decorated and always clean. Room service was quick and dependable. The B&B is in a very convenient location on Route 896 between Lincoln Highway (Route 30) and the Philadelphia Pike, just a mile or so from Bird-in-Hand. I added two days to an original reservation and, through no fault of the innkeepers, had to change rooms because of my "add-on". This was good because I got to see two of the five rooms while I was there. One of the rooms I had overlooked a gorgeous Amish farm. Plenty of information was available about area attractions. The innkeepers were very helpful with recommendations but, at the same time, respected the privacy of their guests. The place was very quiet and had a beautiful porch in the back. I would go back to this B&B in a heartbeat!
