Carousel Inn, Point Pleasant Beach

Arrived at night to a major construction site. Our parking was right next to the rubbish cans. The weather was windy (not their fault) but siding banged against the building all night. Accommodations were not clean, paint was chipping, light not working, handles missing on cabinets, shower dirty, underwear left in dresser drawer. Stove didn't work properly, dishes were dirty, surfaces were greasy and unclean. There were no face cloths or bedding for the futon and its frame was broken, carpet and windows were filthy! One of the bedrooms had no door, the air conditioner didn't work and rain leaked into room onto bed (had to stuff around it with towels). The tub option in bathroom was broken and hot and cold were backwards. Location was convenient to beach and boardwalk but that is about it for positive feedback! Will NEVER return and will write for a refund.

I completely agree with the other reviewer. For the same cost as the typical overpriced Jersy shore motel room you can enjoy a clean room in a nice house that is actually worth the price. They also offer beach badges on the semi-private Bradshaw Beach only 1 block away. It is just far enough from the Pt. Pleasant bathhousees to keep the crowds away but close enough to walk to the boardwalk.
