5 reviews for Gettysburg Battlefield Bed & Breakfast, Gettysburg
Beautiful
By SusanW, 07/18/09
We stayed for 2 nights- a family of 5- in the General Merrit Suite. Charming atmosphere, lovely grounds, helpful and friendly staff. My children loved the animals ( lots of cats roaming around outside ) and the room to run and play. Period costumes and history lessons were fun and informative. Breakfast was delicious. A bit far from town- but having the open space for the kids was worth it for us. A bit expensive for a family- it was a big splurge for us, and worth it!

We can't wait to go back!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/07
This is a wonderful bed and breakfast for families. My husband, sons (9&7), and myself enjoyed every part. We arrived a bit late but was welcomed with tea and cookies. The staff is amazing! First in the morning there is an educational presentation of Gettysburg history as well as true artifacts to view. Breakfast followed and it was AMAZING! The B&B site on a working farm so there are horses and goats and cats. My kids LOVED walking the grounds and seeing the animals. It was so beautiful. On Friday nights they have ghost stories in the parlor. Very cool!!! We stayed in REILLY'S NORTH CAROLINA ARTILLERY SUITE. It featured a queen bed for my husband and I and a attached room with 2 twin beds for my boys. We truly cannot wait to go back.

Love this Inn!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/07
The grounds are amazing and tranquil and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful (even making coffee @ 5 am!) They always had cookies and lemonade as well as coffee and tea and the breakfast was enough to make you never want to leave. I will definately go back and recommend this place to anyone who goes.

Peace, quiet, perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/06
If you want somewhere close, and truly a bed and breakfast atmospehere then this is it. The people were wonderful, helpful, and great. You wake up in the morning and they have a 1 hour lecture dealing with the civil war era, then a 2 course breakfast. There is a wireless network in the house. It's not in the center of town, so it's nice, quiet and secluded.
