Victorian Charm
My Wife and I have visited Hardy's Haven three times over the past three years while visiting family in the area. We are not normally Bed and Breakfast types but have made an exception in this case. Hardy's Haven is everything great about Bed and Breakfast traveling and then some.
The best part of staying at Hardy's Haven is the accomodations. All of the accomodations are suites. You have a beautiful kitchen, living area, bedroom and bath all to yourself. No sharing! The Hardys, who own and run the place have aquired and refurbished four Victorian homes all neighboring each other on the same street in a wonderful, quiet residential neighborhood. They live in one of the homes, which is actually "Hardy's Haven" and have a very beautifully furnished and decorated a suite in their home. The other houses are all named also and have equally beautifull rooms. So you can stay in their home like a traditional bed and breakfast, or choose a suite in one of the other houses for more privacy. We have done both and have enjoyed our stay every time.
The Hardys are very friendly and knowledgeable about the city's history and are pleasent to visit with. The breakfast is quite a treat. To my surprise, the breakfast was large and served at a very elegant dining table in the main house. The food was very good and the menu is always different each time we return.
Very Highly Recommended.
