Great Atmosphere, Horrible Food!
My husband and I recently ate at the Moose Cafe because we were guests at the Blue Herron Inn upstairs. The atmosphere was quaint and romantic, however, the food was terrible! I had the pasta special with fettuccine noodle and the noodles were hard and undercooked, there was absolutely zero flavor, and the so-called sauce that was on the pasta was non-existent. My husband ordered the salmon with red miso. We did not even realize you could make a salmon taste that flavorless. It was on a bed of green oil.... oops, I mean radishes without any seasoning or spices. The chef clearly does not taste the food before she sends it out. It was one of the worst meals we have ever had. After spending $150 on our meal at the Moose Cafe, we drove to Fort Bragg to look for something more edible.
