Shinneyboo Lakes Cabin Resort, Soda Springs

My family and I stayed in cabin #7 the 3rd thru 5th of January 2007 and we had a blast. We are not really into winter sports and were just looking for a place where we could take our three year old son to play in the snow. I got to tell you I was so happy when we arrived at Shinneyboo, because I knew I had made a great choice. There was plenty of snow on the ground to play and go sledding in and we were expecting snow showers all day the next day. The cabin was small but very cozy. It is more of a studio with an upstairs loft. My son loved the loft. (The owners will provide a baby safety gate upon request.) There was a twin and a double bed up stairs in the loft and a queen bed downstairs. There was a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, jetted tub, and gas fireplace in the cabin and a gas barbecue out on the back patio. (No need for propane, the barbecue runs off the cabins gas line.) There was also a campfire ring a few steps from our back patio. Every morning by turning on our front porch light signaled the owners to bring us our complimentary breakfast in a basket, which was filled with a variety of home baked goodies. The owners were very nice and really respected our privacy. The only time we saw them was when they brought us our breakfast basket. However, they live on site so when we needed something we just knocked on their door. We were also free to roam the 160 acres of beautiful land that the resort sits on. We would walk all over searching for great sledding hills and just taking in the scenery. We will be making this an annual getaway.
