Not Impressed
I actually hate to give this place a bad rating however, I was not impressed at all. First the web site was way out of date. Looked like rooms were open when they weren't. I made online reservations on Tuesday and never got my confirmation. So I called (on Thursday for a Friday check in), I was told my room that I wanted was not available and the only room left was 230.00 vs. the 125.00 room that I wanted. Since this was our 22nd Anniversary I thought what the heck.
Well on check in they had us in the Kitchen area which looked like a bomb had gone off. It was pretty mess/dirty. When we went up to our room it was basic just a bit of frills.
I went down to the ice machine and found only about a handful of ice left, was trying to chill a bottle of champagne.
Nice bed, very comfortable (best thing I can say for the entire room or stay). The bathroom was lined with mirrors, I am sure to make it look bigger, but even the shower was a plastic marble looking enclosure. The shower head barely shot out any water. They had a nice plasma TV in the room (although we didn't watch it) but you wouldn't have been able to see it over the footboard of he bed. This isn't the owners/operators fault but we were woken up at 7:30 in the morning by some guest outside yelling for their kid.
We have stayed at quite of few B&Bs and look forward to the breakfast, with all the interesting/gourmet types of food. I have to say I have had better/same food at any breakfast at a common hotel lobby. Get this, we had scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, sausage (two kinds: Polish sausage and small sausage patties (frozen)) toast and a fruit bowl.
When you spend $230.00 +tax per night breakfast should be pretty nice at least. We were so disappointed and will never go back to any of the three properties they own. Thanks for the memories!
