Wonderful Late Spring Getaway
I went away for four days alone to rest and relax and staying at the Royal Rose provided that and more. My room was quaint and comforting with attached bath. There was no tv in the room but for some including myself that was not an issue. Breakfasts were plentiful and enjoyed on the front porch which allowed fresh air and casualness. The innkeeper, Andy, was informative about the area and showed a daily interest in the events and plans of each guest. My room was stocked with extras that the average traveler would forget to pack and though I did not use them, beach towels and coolers were available on the front porch as well. If you are a weekday traveler (escaping weekend crowds), make sure you are there for Tuesday and Wednesday entertainment at the Blue Moon (which is two doors down). Despite it being a popular spot for the gay community visiting or living in Rehoboth, the entertaining styles of "Miss Richfield 1981" is enjoyable for the straight crowd as well including myself. The Inn is located near everything in downtown Rehoboth whichs saves on the parking meters that run from 9:00 AM to 12 Midnight daily. My only complaint was the old fashion faucets in the bathroom that because of seperation made it hard to get warm water. Despite that tiny thing, I would stay at the Red Rose again and again. Also, check website for specials in pre and post season. There is still time left to get good deals!
