False advertising!!!

The website in no way provides an accurate representation of the actual hotel. I had reserved a studio cottage with a jacuzzi bath for two. The photographs show a beautiful little room with a very nice tub. However, it failed to mention that there is no shower. More importantly, there is no ventilation. When you use the jacuzzi, it steams up the whole room. There is no exhaust fan or other form of ventilation unless you want to open the window which needed to be propped up with a stick!!! Additionally, the cottage was more like a duplex. Another "cottage" was attached and the walls were paper thin. We could literally hear what the neighbors were saying when they were talking at a normal voice level. The bed was very small, definately not the queen mentioned on the web, and was so soft that we literally sank into it when we sat down. The decor was ridiculous. Not rustic or woodsy, just unmatched and unattractive. The interior looked nothing like the pictures online. Also, it is NOT located on the Russian River as indicated and there is no beach access, unless you walk to a public beach. Above all else, it was unclean. There was mold growing on the bathroom window most likely due to the lack of fan/ventilation. The floor was damp and the room smelled mildewy.
Amenities included cable tv, wine glasses, and hair dryer... The tv was very tiny and the remote control was taped together with masking tape. The hair dryer was not one of those wall mounted dryers you see in so many hotels, but rather one of the $10 ones you buy at Walmart. Someone had handwritten Fern Grove Cottage on it with permanent pen. The wine glasses were the plastic ones you buy at the 99-cent store. They were old, faded, and were cracking. To top it all off... they were displayed on a washcloth! No ice bucket is provided... but that's okay, because there is no ice machine... If you want ice, you need to go to the store... which closes at 8.
The website also boasted of a heated pool with a beautiful picture of it. It appeared to be half the size... and closed.
Given the price they charged $169 per night, I would expect at least nice amenities. It was EXTREMELY expensive for what was provided.
