Even Camping Would Be Better
Cute looks are decieving. I've stayed here twice. The first time was pleasant. The second was uncomfortable to say the least. Its always cold in the comon area. Half of our room smelled funny. The power went out in the morning and the staff didn't bat an eyelash. When we asked the only girl working about the outage she shrugged her shoulders and said "thats Bodega Bay for you". Yet, she didn't ask if we were ok, or if she could do anything. No flashlight or extra blanket was offered, even though it was rainy, and there was no window in the bathroom. So we were left stranded with no shower, hot coffee, breakfast, heat or light to pack up by.
Before we left we tried to find the girl again, but she was no where to be found and she was the only one on duty. To leave your guests stranded like that and no presence in such a situation is poor management to say the least. And then not to offer any compensation is just bad bussiness. I paid for a stay with a shower, heat and breakfast, yet when that was not delivered, they didn't try to rectify the situation.
When I wrote an email to express my concerns, alll I got back were some flimsy excuses about power outages happening all the time. And a flimsy offer of 20% off my next stay. Why would I ever want to stay in such a place again???
If its a common occurence, why don't they have a better system in place to take care of their paying customers?
Needless to say, I left feeling frustrated and ripped off.
