This bed and breakfast is absolutely wonderful. My Husband and I had our wedding ceromony here and it was so beautiful. The room we stayed in was goregous. Sharon and Sam made us feel right at home and we had no worries the whole weekend at all. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a nice getaway from the stress of life. And if youre looking for a carefree wedding this is the place to go. Thank Holladay House for everything!!
We had a terrific time! Sharon, the innkeeper was amazing and the home itself was great. On top of that, the breakfast was incredible! We never wanted to leave. What turned out to be a simple weekend getaway will hopefully turn into an annual visit! Sharon was also very helpful before our stay--she was kind enough to mail us passes to local wineries and the home of James Madison. Very highly recommend Holladay House!
Stayed at Holladay House for an extended period during a difficult time personally. The Innkeepers treated us like family and would do anything they could for us. While the Inn has been modernized, it still has the feel of an old house on Main Street in a small town. Great side porch with rocking chairs. Several restaurants nearby including a great lunch spot called Real Food and a I nice little wine shop too. Holladay House is just what you think of when you think or a home away from home. Great for a weekend getaway or for longer if you want to explore the area. Can’t go wrong at Holladay House.
Business demands made for a late arrival. Who was waiting for us but the person who lived in the house and who made breakfast. Even though we had to leave earlier than the time that breakfast was scheduled. the same person had breakfast for us with wonderful oriiginal recipes and local ingredients. We can't wait to get back.
We just recently stayed at the Holladay House Bed and Breakfast in Orange, VA. My boyfriend, our dog, and I wanted to spend some time away from the city as well as visit some of the local wineries. The Holladay House was more than we could have expected. They arranged for us to have in-room massages when we arrived which were very well needed at the end of the week. The room was very spacious and on the ground floor which was nice for the dog. The breakfast that was prepared both mornings was fabulous! We were extremely impressed with the Holladay House and hope to plan a trip back soon.
The Innkeeper is very knowledgeable about the area, friendly and attentive to your needs. The breakfast was outstanding! The fresh fruit, flavorful quiche and warm flakey biscuits were absolutely amazing.
Upon our entrance into the Holladay House, we were greeted with a warm sincere smile and was given a quick tour of the B&B by our our lovely Innkeeper.
The suite (Garden Room) was comfortable. The in-room massage is a must have along with the jetted tub.
Great job with the B&B! I'd highly recommend the Holladay House to other travelers!
The house is a beauty with a whimsical charm, but the best thing about the visit was the hospitality. Even though it was "men in charge" weekend with Sharon and Cathy gone, Sam and Darnell were outstanding. They went out of their way to make our visit perfect - even to the extent of providing us a personal tour of Orange. We look forward to a return visit.
We visited the Holladay House as a special birthday celebration for my wife. Sharon and Sam were wonderful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Breakfasts were delicious and memorable and Sharon made reservations for us at a great restaurant for my wife's birthday dinner.
We will definitely stay here again and recommend it highly..
