Wonderful Trip!
My friend and I stayed here last week on a Sat. night. Tay and Robert, the new owners, are wonderful hosts!! They had only been open a few weeks and you'd never have known it. This is a smaller B&B with only 3 rooms, which we liked because it was much more private. We were greeted by Tay when we arrived, who got us to our cute, comfortable room and then returned with an appetizer tray just for us! They offer a "wine bar" and welcome you to help yourself! The gardens are pretty and a nice place to sit out on the front porch with your wine and appetizers. After a dinner out, we were surprised by a fantastic home made apple pie - the best I have ever had! Robert's Mom makes the handmade chocolates that are in each room and boy are they good! So many B&B's don't feel comfortable, often very "Victorian" with antique furniture you're afraid to sit on - that is NOT the case here - we felt so at home here - the home is comfortable and welcoming. And breakfast was outstanding!!! Frittata, yogurt & fruit granola, yum! The location is great too - you walk right down the hill into town, close to shops and restaurants. There is a park on the other side of the main street we walked to in the morning that was really nice. We are already planning another trip just to bring my friend's Dad here in September. We looked at B&B's in the surrounding area that were substantially more expensive, and really felt that Cooper House was a true bargain! Tay and Robert will do well - they provide a wonderful relaxing environment and excellent food.
