Gracious living in the heart of Sonora!!

We loved staying at The Inn On Knowles Hill. This gracious, spacious, light-filled house is situated on beautifully landscaped grounds. The elegant interiors with all the period details truly felt like we were stepping back in time.. The hosts, Fred and Rhonda were a delight! Rhonda welcomed us with a pot of tea and fresh home baked cookies when we arrived late afternoon followed by recommendations for places in town for dinner. The delicious breakfast , prepared using organic ingredients was served in their lovely breakfast room which overlooks the garden. Our stay here was very relaxing and we look forward to going back again on our way to Yosemite or may be just to spend some quiet time in Sonora!

The Knowles Hill House is back in business and it is better than ever before! The new owners, Fred and Rhonda Buess, have made significant upgrades to the 1927 country estate and furnished it with period antiques that will impress the most discriminating traveler. The most prominent estate for miles around, the rich history of Sonora comes alive with color and style with Rhonda's creative cuisine and Fred's compelling stories. This hilltop location offers a quiet get-a-way retreat for couples, families and small business groups that is conveniently close to old town Sonora, Jamestown, Columbia and Yosemite. Make this spot a must if your anywhere near the area!
