Ten of my family members stayed at the Lyons while in the area for a funeral, and let me tell you...it is an absolutely amazing place! Miss Pat is a truly gracious lady who welcomed us into her home and we felt so welcomed and at home. My husband & I stayed in "Preecia's Velvet Room," and it was amazing. The bed was very comfortable, and it included a large spa tub, which sadly, we didn't get the chance to use. Other family members has "Nate's" room, and the "Celebration Suite," all exquisitely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast the next day was well cooked and delicious. The service was attentive and timely. If someone needed to spend a night in or around Ft. Scott, I don't know why they would even bother to look anywhere else! HIGHLY RECOMMEND, and we'll be back soon!
Me and my husband stayed there for our anniversary. Everything about it was perfect. We stayed in Preecia's Room and couldn't have asked for more. We ended up having the whole upstairs to ourselves. It was great.
We ended up getting a couples massage when we arrived and then enjoying a nice picnic on the front porch. The food was to die for.
There was a bit of confusion getting the massages set up, but everyone worked extra hard at getting it taken care of.
Miss Pat was a very gracious host and made us feel like very, very special guests! BTW, the breakfast rocked and the granola was terrific!
I plan on my next anniversary weekend to be spent there as well. It really gave me and my husband a chance to concentrate on us.
Me and my family spent the weekend as guest with a wedding party. We had an awsome time. Everthing was just set up beautiful. Miss Pat was such a great host and kind soul. Would highly recommend you stay at the Lyons Mansion.
I was treated like a princess at The Lyons Victorian Mansion. I can't wait to go back! Most definately a romantic getaway for two or a fun weekend retreat for Girls night in! Also check out the area restaurants for some good home cooking and mom and pop shopping.
