The Benjamin Daniel House offer three rooms with private baths and another with a shared bath or in The Philemon Waters Log House with three additional rooms and private baths. Canaan Land Farm was designated a Kentucky Historic Farm.

...with the other posting. Very nice land with beautiful buildings on site. Desolate, yes, but relaxing for that reason. The innkeeper kept us on edge too, and there were no locks on the doors! We thought of moving the dresser over to block it. Good thing the kids weren't with us because he was a scary fellow. Check out Shakertown up the road instead.

Peaceful but uncomfortable

What a gorgeous setting! Very rural, peaceful, and relaxing. Delicious breakfasts and a beautiful pool. The rooms were beautifully done, and air conditioned (very important for summer). Playing with the animals in the neighboring barn was a highlight. The innkeeper, however, made our stay a bit uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to leave my kids there alone�my husband and I would have actually left early had we not already been scheduled to leave. Nearby Shaker Village would be a better bet in terms of value and service.

Country Paradise

Stayed in the Farm's historic log cabin, which was a treat. You can walk around the 70 acres and interact with the farm animals, nature, the innkeepers. It is so very peaceful there. Outdoor temperatures were toasty, so it was wonderful to take a relaxing dip in the pool each afternoon. Breakfasts are delicious and lively. The owners could not make you feel any more welcome. I look forward to visiting during a cooler season so I can spend more time with the innkeepers & animals, as well as make use of the in-room fireplace. HIGHLY recommend.
