Crystal Cove Bed & Breakfast and Luxury Log Cabins, Branson

We've stayed at Crystal Cove several times over the past few years and it just keeps getting better. It's always been top of the line each time we've stayed, but the owners have newly remodeled everything recently and it is over the top now! I love the cabins (our personal favorite is called the "Wilderness" suite) This place has beautiful grounds with tons of trees and private nooks and crannies where I love to write (I'm an author) or just relax and read. We enjoy our coffee in the morning, and are big breakfast eaters. The food they serve is delicious ( we especially love the sausage and cheese casserole layered with some type of crescent pastry that she makes, -yum!) But, I have to say the new coffee and sweet shop is one of my very favorite things. We found a large selection of homemade treats and all kinds of snacks/drinks/coffee -all *Free* (any time of the day or night) I really have never felt so pampered. The innkeepers are great. They've always been so friendly and make us feel at home. We love their cove on the lake. It feels like our own private area. We almost always hike on their trails and my husband usually ends up fishing off their dock. (He pulled in two large mouth bass last time we were there.) Look forward to returning in the Fall!! Highly recommend....

We were in Cabin # 6 -- Anniversary / Honeymoon. The interior of the Cabin was very small. We were constantly out of hot water for the jacuzzi -- probably too small a hot water tank or it was being shared with cabin 5. Fireplace was pleasant. Bed was comfortable. Ceiling Fan did not work. The room seemed a little dusty and musty. There was really no place to sit or stretch out comfortably in the cabin (One chair in a small room). The only place to sit was outside on the shared porch area. The Owners / Innkeepers seemed a little detached and unfriendly. The breakfast was adequate; nothing particularly remarkable, however. We've had wonderful multi-course breakfasts with juice and / or fresh fruit, fresh baked pastries, etc. That was not the case here. They did offer freshly prepared mochas and lattes -- that was a nice touch. In a nutshell, we were disappointed. We have stayed in numerous B&B's when we travel or go on vacation. For the same money, we've stayed in a lot better places with more ammenities and attention to detail. We could have as easily stayed at the Bradford Inn for about $40 less and had the same ambiance. If this had been our first experience, I might have thought that it was nice. But for the money and based on our experience in over 100 B&B's, there are a lot of other choices in the Branson market to be had.

This was a very well run place, with an emphasis on personal service. If you are looking for a nice, cozy place to stay just to get away from it all, I would definitely recommend Crystal Cove. The owners do a great job of spending time getting to know a little about their customers, and they go out of their way to make the stay pleasant. They are very dedicated and work very hard. Even before deciding to stay at Crystal Cove, the owners were very quick to respond to questions I had sent via email. Although it is not a big name business, the words that come to mind when I think of the way the owners run this resort are "first class." During our stay, we had breakfast with some fellow lodgers that had stayed at Crystal Cove previously, which to me is a sign that you are staying somewhere special. Given the number of different places of lodging in the area, I thought it was nice to know that these people had previously enjoyed their stays so much that they chose to return. Needless to say, next time we head to Branson, we will be booking rooms at Crystal Cove.

This was my first "sister vacation." We loved being so close to town yet couldn't wait to open our windows at night to hear the bull frogs and crickets. We thought Bob and his mother couldn't have been more gracious. The food was more than enough and was simply delicious. The cabin was set up perfectly for the two of us. We can't wait to go back there next year, God willing.
