Hacienda Doña Andrea De Santa Fe, Cerrillos

The Hacienda Dona Andrea is stunning in every way. When I first walked through the doors what I was looking at was a view that quite literally took my breath away. The hacienda is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The rooms are huge, each one different. At night candles are lit throughout the building and, during my stay, another guest played for a while on the grand piano located in the lower salon. Sitting in front of a blazing fire, a glass of red wine in hand ~ bliss! While I wouldn't say it is a convenient location, I didn't stay at the hacienda for convenience. Santa Fe is an easy 20-25 minute drive with virtually no chance of getting lost along the way. And there's a charming town, an artist colony full of shops, called Madrid that's just about 10 minutes away. The benefits of being a bit off the beaten path is a wonderous peace and quiet. At night the stars in the sky go on forever. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about both the Hacienda as well as where to go, what to do and how to get there. A magical place that I look forward to returning to soon and often.
