Sassy Goose, Cedar Mountain

Booked the Sassy Goose - sight unseen - and what a lovely surprise. Took my husband for his 60th Birthday weekend and we just loved our time at the B&B and visiting the surrounding area. Dupont Park has terrific trails and waterfalls within a reasonable hike. Bob and Linda are friendly and informative hosts... breakfast was great offering a variety of fresh fruit , breads and one of Lindas home made surprises. Our daughter, husband and 1 year old son came up for the night and they also loved the place. We are already talking about our next trip. Thank you Bob and Linda !

I wanted to find the perfect getaway spot to surprise my husband for his birthday. I found the Sassy Goose online and though I didn't know anyone personally who had been there, I decided to take a risk and give it a shot. I was not disappointed. We stayed in the lodge with a room overlooking the lake. The weather was perfect and the place was so quiet and relaxing. Instead of going out on the pontoon boat or canoe, we found a hammock by the lake and just spent some time relaxing there. Bob and his daughter Linda were amazing hosts and the breakfast she cooked was wonderful (if you go, you must try her homemade granola!). Everyone from the cabins and lodge came together for breakfast the next morning and we found that everyone but ourselves were repeat customers. Having found this place, we now know why. We will definitely go back! There are many different things you could do... more than we had time for! They also have satellite TV and WiFi in the lodge, various board games and a cute little reading area. The price was excellent, the entire place was very clean and cozy. It was a fun little getaway and I can't wait for our next visit to the Sassy Goose!!!

My wife and I have been to several B & Bs in NC, SC, and TN. Of all of them, The Sassy Goose is our clear favorite. It never disappoints. Each year my wife and I spend a weekend or more there. We've stayed in a room in the inn, a cabin, and the cottage. We've even went with my parents who are in their late 60s (we're in our early thirties). My parents enjoyed it immensely and we're headed back there again this summer. It's a peaceful location with lots of activities. Fishing, pontooning, canoing, hiking, golfing, swimming, horse shoes, bicycling, ping pong, horse shoes, and more are available on a first-come basis. This B & B is unique and very relaxing. Bob and Linda are wonderful hosts. If you haven't been to the Sassy Goose, don't put it off any longer.

I have been going to the Sassy Goose for years and years in early May. I am a tax accountant, and this is the piece of heaven I think about when the returns keep piling in. It is relaxing, refreshing and has the best hosts I have encountered in B&B-ing.

There was nothing we disliked and we LOVED everything. The owners, the food and the location are the best ever. Breakfast was unique, in that all the guests arrived from different lodgings on the property and ate together at the main lodge. So there was plenty of conversation from folks of all backgrounds. Very Nice people! The owner kept us entertained with stories of his life experiences. And it must be the water, or the loving hands, that made the best coffee served in the mountains. Can't wait to go back! Already planning our next trip
