Horrible, Bad service from the Manager and more!
Upon arrival I was told by the manager, who was working the front desk, my reservation was past and I was marked as a "no show'. This was a prepaid reservation. I asked how could this happen,can you do something to help me. He flat out said no. I Called Hotwire and they even asked him to refund me and he refused. He made me pay for another room, and in the confusion of our arrival I didnt notice the sign saying that no pets were allowed. After bringing our dog in, he said we had to leave, he would not work with us, we offered to just leave the dog in our van in her pet taxi but he said that wasnt acceptable. Wouldnt give any refund even though we werent even there an hour! I don't think this is the was to treat people that come in off the road after a long day of driving. Now I have paid for a hotel stay twice, and didn't stay in the hotel! This manager is only concerned with himself and his profits, no concern for the other person. He is a foreigner that has his entire family residing on the first floor of the hotel, he has knocked out walls between rooms and theres a whole bunch of people actually living there. I feel that he has no respect for Americans, no compassion. I follow the Golden Rule, he obviously has no undersanding of that concept. I filed a complaint with Super 8, the manager called me, and told me a string of lies, like he didnt remember me from my visit! I was in the lobby for an hour, right in front of him! His offer of resolution, after pointing out his lies, was to refund me for the first charge, but charge me more for the 2nd??!! Basically he was going to refund me $67 and charge me $50 more because he says he reduced the rate for me. $17??!! For all my troubles??!! I was traveling with my parents and sister in law, they both booked rooms here, too. My parents reserved a non smoking room, he told them he had none left, so they took a smoking room and went to put their stuff in and the smell was overwhelming! Theytold the manager they couldnt stay in it, He said sorry you used the room now I have to clean it. They literally were in the room 2 mins! I told him this place was a joke and got very irate! He magically found a non smoking room available! They had to leave with us as we were riding together and they recieved no refund. My sister in laws room had a broken towel rack which she reported to the front desk and was told "Oh yeah thats been broken awhile" When she woke up the next morning for breakfast, it wasnt ready on time and the lobby was 80 degrees like they turned the air off to save money, the desk clerk hinted that he was a cheapskate.
