they are not what they advertise.they say 1 1/2 hour but it is only one hour.they discriminate people specially if you are not white and have an accent don't go....when i complain the supervisor he said " you are not the united states citizen" ...my goodness what has citizenship has to do with that.we paid the same amount of money like others and me and my friend are the U.S citizen because we foreigners, we treated differently....if you tried to have a good time do not go because you come back with sadness and bitterness

The atmosphere is great - staff is helpful - food is full of butter and garlic, good, but fattening - The large, expensive accommodations are beautiful, cabins offer a unique charm...most have no A.C. which I guess is part of the charm...just watch that you don't go in HOT weather! In retrospect, I'm not sure I'd pay that much again.

Loved the location, and most off the staff was helpful, The 1st night and day was great and we felt welcomed. Room was full of flys and nates, so take a fly swatter. Except when we were late to the horse back rider and the head ranch hand basically yelled at us, for being late when at breakfest we were told we had plenty of time. The 1/2 day ride was awesome, and beautiful country and horses were great. Just wished when we returned to stables they weren't rushed away so we could take pictures. We also had massages in our rooms, my husband enjoyed his, but when it was my turn due to being tired, allergies and coughing from the dust. the person doing the massage decided she wasn't going to do mine, and not only told us that it was up to us to work out the credit for it with the lodge but she went and lied to them saying I didn't want my massage. I live with cronic pain and fibromylagia and i purposely bought the spa package so they'res no way I'd cancel. And instead of taking money off our stay it was to come off our bar tap, which meant we had to drink more than what we wanted to. Our other issue was we took 2 rides a half day ride and an hour and half , we did the 1/2 day first and the other before we left. The hour and half came with the package, and yet we were charged for the shorter one and half of our longer one, instead of just charging us for the longer one. We were blown off when we tired to get charged the proper amount. Bottom line great trip as long as you don't rock the boat. , I only wrote all this so what happened to us won't happen to you.

Perfect location, great food, fun horseback riding and overall great trip! Fun for the whole family!! Close to santa barbara, santa ynez, and the beach, yet feels like back country seclusion and privacy!
