Like an Oasis
By Alan, 1/25/10
I recently attended a huge Christmas party thrown by an old friend living in Orange, Ca. I needed a place to stay nearby and I personally favor the warmth and hospitality of B & B's over hotels. A quick Google search led me to the French Estate. I found the place and the owner, Sarah, utterly charming. My room was quite large and had more amenities than most fancy hotels. Breakfasts were excellent and I really enjoyed playing with Sarah's four Golden Retrievers. I actually invited Sarah to the Christmas party. There was plenty of off street parking, and the location could not have been better. I highly suggest that the weary traveller looking for a quiet, restful, charming place check out the French Estate.

A Special Day
By Corinne, 5/29/09
My daughter and I looked at a several venues for her wedding, but when we visited the French Estates, we felt this was where we wanted the wedding to be. It not only fit our budget, but most importantly the atmosphere was so warm and comfortable, very different from the standard church & hall, as so many have chosen. I want say, Sarah was wonderful too! From the moment we arrived at the venue she kicked into gear. She was there attending to every question, request and need we had. Her concern for our guests and their enjoyment was so appreciated. It was a very cool day and the evening got even cooler, and we were so glad we had rented the heaters. In addition though, there were fire pits outside and the fireplaces in the house also going. Sarah even offered wraps for anyone that may need them. Not only is the French Estates her business, but it's also her home and she made us feel like we were part of her family and opened up her home for this special occasion. This was a complete package. The catering staff were excellent and the food fantastic! The cake was not only beautiful, but very tasty too. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend the French Estates to anyone who loves a warm and charming atmosphere. Thank you Sarah, for making my daughter’s wedding day a beautiful success.

Perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/6/09
I feel compelled to write that the French Estate and Sarah are great. I have attended both a holiday party and a spring wedding and both were equally wonderful! I have lived in Orange for over 25 years and all who have visited the estate for a festivity have been pleased. It's understated charm and inviting home are what make this place fantastic. A hotel does offer more amneties and is more modern, but if you are a romantic this is the place for you!

Surprised
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/09
After attending a wedding here also in December I was shocked to find 2 bad reviews. Sarah was great! The home and grounds were very clean. Umbrellas were not needed, but everything one asked for was quickly attended to. I would recommend The French Estate for a wedding. It is such a warm and charming location.

I recently attended a wedding here and the service is awful, the people in charge are rude and unprofessional, I would not go back ever.

Romantic

Our wedding was romantic and charming. Exactly what a wedding should be. The French Estate was the place tp create this setting. Sarah was awesome and very flexible. If you do not want a cookie cutter wedding, this is the place for you.

Great wedding
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/08
What a wonderful place to host a wedding! The home is very charming and the wedding coordinator was very helpful! I got the best deal for chair and rental linens through the recommended lenders. Beautiful, romantic, and pleasant. Use the shuttle service because there is no parking near the Estate. I had a small wedding about 50 guests. I had to pay for the shuttle (it is includedif you have I think 80 plus guests.) but it was worth every penny because that could of easily been a problem. Sara the owner is very kind and calm. Thanks again!

Thank you Sarah, Best Weddding ever!
By lisa, 1/25/08
We got married at the French Estate this past August, and could not have been more pleased. What a great value!!!! We could not have pulled off the wedding we did if it wasn't for this place. The gounds are beautiful, the caterer was great, my cake was the best cake ever, and most of all the owner, Sarah, was fabulous! She was helpful and accomadating and went out of her way to make sure our every need was met, besides the fact that she dances a mean chicken dance. We are young people, and we threw the party of the year right there on the grounds of the French Estate. Because you are in a residential neighborhood you do have to keep music to reasonable volume, but this punk rock girl thought it was loud enough. The French Estate is not just for old people. We highly recommend it!!! Lisa and Mike K.

Charming

I was part of a wedding at the French Estate this fall. It is a charming location, and perfect for a beautiful and tasteful wedding that was reminiscent of old victorian elegance.

Holiday dinner for tennis group
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/07
Last night Dec. 21, 07 I had our tennis holiday party at the French Inn...........it couldn't have been more pleasant. The big front porch, the lighting was excellent, they had a fire in the wood fireplace waiting for us, several Christmas trees decorated beautifully, the food was excellent: salmon or chicken. Everyone had a marvelous time. Everyone went bezerk over the chocolate fountain. Sara the owner is very easy to work with. I've worked with her before and it's always been effortless on my part. The group of 34 decided we should have our holiday dinner there next year so we immediately made a reservation for Dec. 08. Lots of fun.
