a home away from home

I am usually wound up in hard and exhausting work mentally, travel a lot, fly here and there and when looking for holidays three things matter:
- sun
- water
- nature
This small and exclusive guesthouse has become my favourite home away from home over the years when I am looking for a relaxed and easy place. I bathe in the nude in the sun and the water and enjoy the humming birds, when they come to the miraculous plants in the backyard.
Just minutes away from downtown, the zoo and hillcrest (all bus routes) and from the tram running to Tijuana - you couldn't feel better hidden from outside troubles.
The heart of the house is the landlady keeping an open mind and attentive eye with her guests that allow all of them great freedom and trust.
Be carefull, traveller, not to expect loud parties - rather you may feel that the place offers much more. Try the bike, ask for places to go and see new things, meet new people, and be carefree.
My best experiences were, when I flew into San Diego, stayed five days for getting grounded, then took a trip West to Palm Springs and Las Vegas, then cross through Yosemite and hit San Francisco, before going down 101 into Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Arriving back in San Diego to spend another three nights there before returning on a flight back to old Europe.
I have also spent extended stays there renting up for a month, when I had to do writing and needed all the daily needs cared for.
You may really enjoy yourself.
