An elegant treasure in Shreveport...

Whether you are traveling along I-20 on business, planning a romantic getaway, or moving your child into Centenary College, Jimmy Harris' 2439 Fairfield B&B is THE place to stay. I almost hate to share this information because we have discovered a Victorian treasure with the epitome of Southern hospitality. When you walk in the front door you know you are home. The very clean rooms are impeccably decorated in true Victorian style. The beds are luxurious, TV's with cable are cleverly hidden inside the armoires, each room has it's own bath with a whirlpool/shower, and that's just the beginning. Each room has access to a balcony with ceiling fans, white rocking chairs, and porch swings.
Outside the rooms in the hall, Jimmy has a pot of coffee ready for the early risers. You can take a cup back to your room or sit on the balcony while breakfast is prepared.
Breakfast - casual, sumptuous elegance. Yes, you can dine in your shorts/T-shirts. The tables are covered with blue and white tablecloths and Blue Willow china. By the time you come downstairs, Jimmy has the sideboard laden with casserole dishes with scrambled eggs, assorted sausages, a delectable cheese and potato casserole, cereals, English muffins, banana bread, juices, fruit, coffee, and, of course, assorted teas. Then there's the sweet surprise - a homemade fried pie.
Jimmy (and his sister, Jana) are the consummate hosts - gracious, relaxed, conversational, and a fountain of information about Shreveport. Jimmy's 2439 Fairfield B&B is our home away from home.
