Burro Street Boardinghouse, Cloudcroft

The owner is the best. Very friendly and will go out of her way to make your stay great. Really good breakfast with a large selection. Great veiw from balcony. No mosquito's at this elevation. Has the best sleeping weather I have ever found. Rooms always very clean, well decorated and super comfortable. Location is convenient to grocery, resturants, and gas station.

A few years ago we stayed at this B & B and had a good experience - it was clean, cosy and very welcoming. There were cookies and drinks waiting for us, and a beautifully cooked breakfast next morning, and so when my brother came over from the Netherlands this Fall to visit we booked him in there. When we arrived the kitched looked as though it had just been looted - everything from a cut onion to dirty oily untensils and open packages of every kind were jammed onto every inch of every counter top. The bed was not made between days and the advertized 'scrumptious full breakfast' was cereal and muffin. Thank goodness we brought our own coffe and coffee pot. I would not recommend this place to anyone now. So sad.
