Stayed here in the late '90's for a romantic wkend (date of visit option doesn't go back that far). Was placed in a rundown 1 bdrm apt with a full size bed not big enough for 2. I slept on the sofa that was old, smelly & I could feel the springs. The feather top was too soft for my husband, so I removed it for use on the sofa. It was under renovation at the time (ongoing for 8ish years). Checked this spot to see if improvements were made. Seems that after 10 yrs it is the same w renovations now lasting about 20 yrs!!
This place is not nice. You get to see no part of the main house; apparently it was used as apartments in the 30's and 40's and is decorated as such. The furniture in the living room is dilapidated and very uncomfortable. The thing that really made us angry was the fact that they didn't even turn on the A/C until right before we arrived! It was horrible! It took until 10 p.m. for it to cool down. The area of the house that they served breakfast in was the same - no A/C. I had to call them to turn it on. It was very uncomfortable. My husband and I would not recommend this bed and breakfast, if you can call it that. I make better breakfasts!
Place was pretty run down. Room was ok but they didn't offer breakfast during the week. TV was 13" and had to put chairs right in front to see. Owner was friendly. Our first B&B. We'll know next time.
