disappointed
DO NOT TRY TO STAY HERE. we made reservations in march 2006 for the 4th of july weekend. with our printed out internet confirmation numbers in hand we left baton rouge for our much anticipated beach weekend. on the way, i decided to call and see what time we could check-in. couldn't get in touch with the hotel, so i called the 1-800 reservations line. they confirmed our reservations and told me to call the hotel to find out what time to check-in. when i told them i couldn't reach the hotel, she informed me that the hotel, where we were suppose to have two rooms, was closed due to hurricane katrina damage. why in the world would they reserve us two rooms at a closed down hotel? they could not find another place for us to stay, due to the heavy volume of holiday travelers. so we had to turn around and go back home. so disappointing. the only reason we were going to florida was because my parents house in pass christian, mississippi where i have spent every 4th of july in my life, was blown down due to the storm. we're not passing out our keys to the house for people to stay there...because its not there! the days inn people didn't care at all about our issue and took two hours to try to resolve it, but failed. i will never give days inn a cent of my money and i will advise everyone i know the same.
