Poche Plantation, Convent

I made reservations over 3 1/2 weeks ago and he said no problem. I ask to give him CC info to hold the spot and he told it was not necessary. He even call me back the next day to ask the dates.... ONE day before, I called him to ask a direction question .. He tells me he is Book up... I reminded him that I had reservations and he told me sorry a bunch of construction workers came in and last night and my spot is GONE... 3 hrs away, 3 kids, 2 dogs and NO WHERE TO STAY.. My son is in a baseball tourment 10 miles away and all the hotels are BOOKED SOLID........ I would not take his word,... I also heard that he uses the excuse when you call to make reservations that is computer is down... basically its a first come, first serve place.....BUT he needs to make you aware of that........

We simply loved the staff, the entire park is historic with an official US Post Office, Historic church, Tour of the Mansion, and walking along the great Mississippi River was so relaxing... Our day tripping was to New Orleans and Baton Rouge attractions and we loved the easy location of Poche as our base for exploring Louisiana Taste and Attractions... Thanks we will be back and tell our Friends ... New Hot Tub and Movie Room... nice additions...

This plaee was beautiful, sits right on the river and is more like a destination reesort than a rv park. Lanscaped to perfection, very friendly staff... Great Stop
