World Class B&B on the Bayou Teche
By Gerald, 11/3/09
Our recent stay at "A Touch of Country" in New Iberia, Louisiana was a delightful experience. Host Belinda Armentor was gracious and has a keen interior design eye as seen in the Ashley Cottage with its spacious & elegant decor with the small touches expected only in five star hotels. The something special was breakfast at Victors Cafe....for real down home cooking with friendly town folk...including in our stay. A touch of French-inspired living on The Bayou Teche. We'll be back to A Touch of Country and New Iberia Parish for the Festival Acadiens.

Best Place in Town!
By traveler4, 4/21/09
My husband and I loved it! I have never stayed in a place so clean! This is important to us when traveling and this place was spotless. The attention to detail was beyond any other bed and breakfast I have stayed at. Also beautiful gardens, very centrally located. We really liked how this place was set up. Your not staying in some old house with 6 other couples staying just down the hall, sharing akward hello's as you walk to the restroom. This place lets you have your own little cottage, and breakfast is at the most adorable cafe downtown, so your not pressured to eat at a certain time like other B&B's. Also just a couple minutes from the famous McIlhenny Tabasco Factory. Can't say enough good things about this place! The owners were exeptional, and are sure doing a great job with their place.

We're Engaged!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/08
I proposed to my girlfriend at A Touch of Country. She said yes! It was the most romantic night ever. The host even surprized us with an engagement package of flowers, chocolate, candy, and champagne. It was an unforgettable night. Thank you for helping create a wonderful memory for us.

When in New Iberia, A Touch of Country is all you need!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/15/08
Absolutely beautiful. Luxury Accomadations. Centrally located to all the best New Iberia attractions. Would love to visit again. The owners were very friendly and more than willing to suggest places to see. The free country breakfast was great!

Most wonderful anniversary ever !!!
By San, 9/2/07
My wife and I spent the most wonderful weekend together, enjoyed total comfort and hospitality at this beautiful bed and breakfast. The location is very convenient and serene, with butterfly gardens and a large back yard. The owners were very concerned with catering to our every need. We have already made reservations to stay again next year, and would highly recommend staying here.

Out of Touch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/07
Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away as possible from "A Touch of Country". Their service is poor and they are guilty of using unethical business practices. Why stay here when you can stay at any one of the other better B&B's along the way. "A Touch of Country" is definitely one touch I won't be looking forward to experiencing again.

Avoid At All Costs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/18/07
Travelers be warned. "A Touch of Country" is operated by an unscrupulious owner. The woman who operates this two-cottage property received an accidental overpayment by check from our company of nearly $800.00, and refused to admit the error, citing that her website states "no refunds." Seriously folks, we highly suggest that travelers avoid "A Touch of Country" in New Iberia, LA. There are better, and more professionally operated "real" B&B's along the Bayou Teche that are wonderful. "A Taste of Country" is definitely not one of them.
