The Coombs Inn, a romantic Bed and Breakfast in three elegant Victorian Mansions, welcomes guests to experience historic charm in an intimate setting. Forget the rest.... stay here!

Of all the places in Apalachicola...this is the place to stay. Super clean, beautifully decorated with period antiques, and chock full of history the Coombs House Inn slams the Gibson and the rest to runnerup status. Afternoon wine tasting and a great breakfast hand made lend a quaint charm to the Coombs. Bicycles available to ride around town or over to the St. George Island beach. You can go touristy at the Gibson with their tired breakfast and meals or second rate at the others but trust me when I say the Coombs House Inn is the real McCoy in bed and breakfast stays anywhere in the U.S.!

nice place nice town

Took my wife down for a suprise weekend (she didnt know where we were going) and it was our first time down there. we will most curently be going back alot. The room was so perfect and my wife loved it so much. We stayed only one night and had very very little interaction with the staff (other than check in and out) being we missed breakfast the next morning because we slept in. The inn is beautiful and very well appointed nice beds and the common areas are well set up and relaxing. The whole town has a relaxed feel with lots of shops devoted to local art and photos and the restaurants are very good at what they do. Locals are very nice and helpfull even the night clerk at the convenice store was great. We will be coming back again and again to both the Inn and the area.

WOW - Coombs House Inn takes the prize

Just returned from a vist to Apachicola, and my stay at Coombs House Inn. My room could not have been nicer and I really wnated to take the bed home. This is by far the best bed and breakfast Inn in Florida. I loved it. Service- Staff- and Breakfast all tops. I recommend Coombs House for couples (young and old), singles on get-a-way, a special trip for mom and dad. I'll miss the old Florida beauty and calm.

Wonderful First Anniversary!

We had a beautiful room (No. 17) and our anniversary was on the 17th so this was ideal for us. The inn provided cookies and coffee/tea each afternoon, wine, cheese, and crackers on the weekend afternoons, and a fabulous breakfast each morning. My husband and I biked around town and made it down to beautiful Lafayette Park on the yellow "Coombs Inn" bikes. (The innkeeper said to just leave the bikes outside if we went in anywhere because all in town knew where the bikes belong.) The inn is located in a lovely town, with thoughtful owners/caretakers, with wonderful romantic settings all around...and great dining out as well. We will definitely be back again. We did have to ask that our toilet be cleaned (maid must have missed ours) and our Jacuzzi tub didn't work. However, I am not marking down the overall review rating for these things because for the service, amenities, location, value, and romance factor, the Coombs House Inn cannot be beat!

Friendly, Immaculate, Charming

The whole experience was great, from the great staff and the owner, to the delicious breakfast which was always freshly prepared and a departure from the bacon - eggs usual fare. The rooms were lovely and the setting just beautiful.

Quality of interiors, material, construction,architecture, history,atmosphere,staff,breakfast,exellent nothing else to add friendly staff this also a quiet get away escape and romantic nothing else to add that is all
