The rooms are too small and dark, almost impossible to stay in two persons (not a four stars hotel). Very nice personal, very clean, very good breakfast.

I was dissapointed
By ,
I did not stay in that hotel but a friend of mine stayed there. I called the hotel to reach my friend and they told me he was not answering. So I wanted to leave a message for him but the the guy on the phone told me that he can not pass the message to my friend since they do not that kind of service!

Wonderful Place to Stay
By ,
We were a family of 4 adults (2 adult children) traveling and staying here for 1 week. We were so happy to have chosen this hotel, ( based on Trip Advisor reviews). The room was large (2 levels), clean, and very comfortable for 4. The location was perfect, a short pleasant walk to the Tunel end of Istiklal. Yes, it was noisy, but we did not want to sleep past 8 anyway, and I think most everywhere in Istanbul is rather noisy. Closing the window during the night made it no problem then. The staff were so great, particularly the bartender and the day woman at the front desk. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, with many choices. We enjoyed the Hammas, sauna and massage, but were mostly out exploring and enjoying this incredible city, lucky to have had our daughter who had lived there as a guide to many local delights, and ease in using the various public transportations to get everywhere on the European and to the Asian side. We have no negatives, and would highly recommend staying here. We will again.

FRIENDLY
By ,
I arrived at the hotel and the reception staff were friendly, the hotel looked well maintained and very clean. I was waiting for the arrival of my Fiancée and was showed to the room by one of the staff who's English was broken but workable. I had read reviews here before booking the hotel. The room was small but acceptable, when I’m travelling I don't live in the hotel its somewhere to hang my clothes and sleep so it was acceptable. When booking the hotel I had asked for "nice views" when booking the hotel, what I got was something quite different, out of the window was what another traveller to this hotel described as an empty lift shaft with a skylight at the top that didn't let any natural light in. The room was very clean and well maintained throughout the stay of 6 days. The staff were mostly friendly and always had a smile. I didn't eat dinner in the hotel because in Istanbul there are too many places to eat :~) Breakfast was of a high standard with lots of Turkish style items to choose from. The restaurant staff were helpful and courteous. One evening we ordered room service which was very prompt although the waiter bringing the food attemted to charge an extra 10 TL onto the cost of the items we ordered, this was refunded when we spotted the mistake! The hotel is well positioned for access to Taksim and most of the major attractions that Istanbul has to offer. Overall it was a good hotel and I would return again.

Great Location
This is a nice, smaller hotel with some 40 rooms (estimated), centrally located just off İstiklal Caddesi, close to the British consulate-general and about eight minutes walking distance to Taksim square. My room was normally sized and had a double bed plus one single bed, a small desk, TV and locker. The bathroom had a shower but no bathtub. From my room, I had a wonderful view over the Golden Horn towards Sultanahmet, but I know that there are also smaller rooms that open towards small light wells, so it might be advisable to specifically request a room with a view, if that's important to you. The hotel has a small gym with one treadmill, one stepper and one bench with a set of dumbbells. There is also a little hamam and you can get a massage (haven't tried either of them). The only detriment is that the gym is open only from 10 to 22 hours, which makes it difficult for business guests to workout in the morning. Wifi internet access is provided for free in all rooms, but it was slow and did not work on several occasions. Service was very friendly. One weird thing is that chambermaids rearranged my personal items when cleaning the rooms, such as putting papers and pens from the desk into a drawer or moving toilet articles in the bathroom. While I didn't find this particularly disturbing it is certainly something that most hotels would not allow, considering it an invasion of the guest's privacy.Breakfast was OK, although strangely there was no jam, marmelade or honey, only a wide selection of cheese and sausages.

Great! On a quiet street
By ,
LOCATION: Great! On a quiet street 2 blocks from the main shopping street in the modern city. BED/SHEETS/PILLOW: Bed was very comfortable (softer than most in Turkey). Sheets and pillows were also comfortable with nice linens. LIGHTING: Fine in bedroom and bathroom. SHOWER: Clean with great water pressure. Mold, however was plentiful. CLEANLINESS: Room and common areas were spotless A/C: Kept room very cold (if desired). STYLE OF ROOM: Grandma-ish but comfortable. Nothing exciting but great for the price. FOOD: Breakfast was ok with Turkish breakfast and choice of 3 cereals. TV/INTERNET: Free wirelesss in room and a few English channels on TV. SERVICE: Fair. TIPS: This hotel is very nice for the price. Nothing special but hard to beat the location and looks of the hotel for just over US$100/night. Very good value!

Lovely Boutique Hotel
By ,
This lovely boutique hotel was a great home base for my second Istanbul Holiday. The staff is always professional and often quite friendly. Mr. Erol CELÝK is a gracious host. Sure, my room was small with a large double window which opened up on an air shaft. But the handsome rose paterned drape, which ran the entire eight floors, was neat on an overcast morning. And it was such a quiet sleep. The flat screen tv, great shower and fine decor offered a bit of elegance. I enjoyed the superb breakfast, the mini-spa and business center to keep in touch on-line. I really like this hotel and it just happens to be found in my favorite neighborhood in this wonderful international city.
