Lovely pool

The hotel is lovely, if a little old-fashioned and the pool really nice. All the staff were very friendly EXCEPT for the surly girl on reception who didn't want to help and did so begrudgingly. The beach immediately in front of the hotel is well kept and clean but if you walk towards the Medina it is very tatty and rubbish-strewn. Also, after heavy rain, sewerage poured from some brick structure on the beach, down to the water in a very smelly stream. We were lucky that it was our last day when this happened, but feel sorry for the other guests.
Room was clean and had a lovely sea view.
A big selection of food every evening although the salads looked tired after a couple of days (dry cucumber, brown lettuce) as though they hadn't changed it for days.
Hotel full of Russians with very few Brits. The Russians were rude or at best ignored you, but the Brits were very nice.
Personally, I couldn't handle all the hassle to buy things/do things that happened whenever you sat on a sunbed/beach. The Pirate Ship trip, that we had been told was "a swim with the dolphins" turned out to be a trip on a boat with a some local boys "entertaining" us by clowning around, loud Birdie song-type music but a decent lunch. Very disappointing and I couldn't wait to get off. Felt we had been mis-led. Meant that I didn't trust the staff to be honest about any of the other trips, so didn't bother with them.
Our walk around the Medina was so full of people shouting at you to buy that it was an experience, but no good if you actually want to look and shop. We ended up buying our souvenirs at the supermarket by the Royal Azur/Bel Azur where the owners didn't bother you at all. We were tricked out of money on a couple of occasions (mugged?) and had to be very careful not to get money out infront of people.
There was not a lot to do in the day. Would have liked some canoes/dinghys or something on the beach, as shown in the brochure, but they weren't there.
