Fragrance Hotel - Ruby, Singapore

Hotels in Singapore are expensive at best. However at $69 per night, you would hope for a little better then this..... Checked in, went up to the room. Room was made up, however was horrified to find urine on the toilet seat, no toilet paer, water all over the bathroom floor, used soap with pubic hairs sitting in the soap holder. Needless to say, I went back downstairs and asked for another room. Second room.... given the keys, went upstairs again, dragged my bag over to the next room, only to find it no better then the last. Fecal matter still in the toilet bowel, no toilet paper, no soap, water all over the floor. Went back downstairs, complained that the sanitary condition of the rooms were unacceptable. Just as I am voicing my dissatisfaction, a tour group of 20 people come into the building. The shift manager tells me that I will have to wait until she processes the check in of all the guests. Tells me to go back to my room and she will "come up to inspect" later. That is the last I heard from her. Given that it was late at night by that stage, and I had an early morning flight the next day, it was too late to be looking around for another hotel. My response would have otherwise been to leave immediately and demand a refund. This hotel is a disgrace and without a shadow of a doubt, go's down as the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Good location close to MRT.Service is good.They give what you want.But the room only can put two cars.If you come alone it O.K.You can walk around.Night life it very exciting here.Shoping not in this area.

The good: location close to MRT and buses. A little cleanliness in lobby and halls. Bath is sort of clean and hot water works. ESPN and HBO in room. The bad: smelly sheets, small rooms, terrible service, noisy hallways all night (redlight district), no remote control This place used to be the greatest deal on the planet just 3 years ago. Now, the price has risen and the service and cleanliness has gone down. I just cannot believe how terrible my last two experiences have been here. I gave it two shots this year since I used to like it so much and thought maybe they had a bad week. But NO! The place really has deteriorated into a purely shabby hotel that caters to addicts and sexpots. My sheets stunk like no tomorrow. I could barely stand it. The noise in the hallways, while being there 3 years ago, seems to be worse. This place attracts trash, so be ready to live with that type of crowd. I look back and just can't believe I stayed there another night. I stayed only 1 of my 3 booked nights and found better lodging elsewhere. If you are seriously on a budget, stay hostel. This place is not the answer. I think the hostels are better places. My friend recommends Hawaii in Bugis. I haven't stayed there, but he swears by it.
