Palau Pacific Resort, Pangkor

We spent 5 days (Dec 1-6, 06) at the Palau Pacific Resort which has the best beach among all top hotels in Palau. Very beautiful and peaceful. The fish pond in the hotel was full of surprises in terms of the types of fishes/creatures living there. Buffet breakfasts were good with enough varieties of food (changed daily) and fruits freshly cut up by chef every morning. Free kayaking training was also provided by the hotel. The staff were friendly and provide good services. We were able to participate in the Christmas tree lighting ceremony when all hotel guests were invited to a free cocktail party with endless supply of drinks and appetizers. Upon check-in for all guests, there were welcome drinks. A final surprise was complimentary tea/coffee for all departing guests which was a very warm gesture. Free hourly shuttle bus to downtown also being provided though there isn't much to see or shop around. What could be improved was offer of late check-out for guests as all flights to Guam depart at 2:30 a.m. versus a check-out time of 12.00 noon. Highly recommend guests to visit Palau as there are lots of water sports to do there. L Chan, Hong Kong
