Rooms On The Beach, Ocho Rios, Ocho Rios

The room had no clock radio to tell time. The TV remote had no batteries. Cats fighting in the hallway early in the morning. The water in the shower went from hot to cold & from cold to hot while taking a shower. There was no outlet in the bathroom to plug in an electric shaver. There was no iron in your room to iron your clothes. But there was one iron & ironing board in a washroom for everyone to share. I would never stay there again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone. Its good for a one or two night stay if you are desperate because it is clean & the staff friendly. I personally would never go back nor would recommend it to anyone seeking to vacation in Jamaica.

This place was the worse, I'm very surprised that Breezes is carrying it under it's umbrella. The staff was very rude, would constantly roll their eyes at you if you would ask them for the time of day. Every shower the water would go from extremely hot to ice cold. You have a better chance of hitting lotto than getting a clean towel. Everyday they ran out of ice and the food was terrible.

2 of my friends and I stayed here for 4 nights in February 2008, and we all LOVED it. The BEST part of this hotel is that ALL of the pictures that you see, are recent pictures of this hotel. It was a beautiful hotel and in a prime location. The hotel was located in THE HEART of Ocho Rios. It caters more to a younger crowd, but it is a very interactive hotel, with karaoke night and Friday pool parties. It is close to Dunn's River Falls and you can book your activities through the hotel, which will include a ride to whatever adventure you partake in. I loved this hotel and would recommend it to people between the ages of 20 and 34. The only problem was they are a little stingy with towels, but other than that this hotel is absolutely perfect. Nice sized rooms and the beach is literally feet away. Security is also great and the price is VERY reasonable. I wish I could comment on the free continental breakfast, but we never woke up on time. GREAT HOTEL.

We live in Jamaica and needed a weekend for our anniversary. It was the best room we have stayed in for the price. The room was nice with a great view of the beach. Ocho Rios is a nice town with good restraunts and the beach was also clean. We had one mechanical problem in our room and the front desk had someone up to fix it in 5 minutes. The location was also good for walks on the beach and proximity to shopping. The only weakness was the continental breakfast. It was very skimpy for Jamaican standards, no fruit and not kept well stocked.

My husband, son & I are on a tight budget so I shopped around quite a bit before booking our Christmas Vacation through Yahoo Travel.Transportation from the airport to the hotel was inclusive in our package and I was instructed via phone conversation w/ Yahoo that someone would be there to pick us up, no vouchers or transfers needed, yet no one was there to pick us up.We had to pay additionally to travel from and returning to the airport.Once at the hotel, the place was an unorganized chaos with visitors having trouble with credit cards being charged the amount of Jamaican dollars in American dollars to their cards (58 Jamaican to 1 US), yet no one was able to void the transactions. The rooms were clean enough for the rating of the hotel and the housekeeping staff was very nice.The hotel front desk would not give us a single coin or bill of change so we could pay for food and beverages.The restaruant and bar are separately operated, and they were very nice and helpful.Our overall saving grace was that we paid for our room in advance, so no credit card was on file for us and we paid cash for everything the entire time we were at the hotel. If you are on a tight budget, it works if your not too interested in overall accomodation quality and assistance from the front desk staff and management.PAY CASH and make sure if booking through Yahoo Travel that you are guaranteed that Airport transportation so you don't end up in a foreign country at a loss like us.

My family and I really loved the location and the scenery. The only complaint that we had was that the room was dirty and the air conditioner did not work, also there were never any clean towels you always had to wait for them. The hotel staff was very polite. We would stay in the hotel again, and hopefully this time everything would be ok.

Rooms on the beach is prettey centrally located to EVERYTHING MoN. Our room was very clean, the beds were comfy and we had no problems with service. When I needed something it was No Problem MoN...Excellent value and I would certainly stay there again. However this is not an All Inclusive, it is a small hotel right on the beach. They served a conteniental breakfast in the mornings and the restuarant has decent food and we found it to be much cheaper than all the other restuarants were. Looking to do a vacation on budget and just need a place to crash after your adventures, Rooms is the place. If you are looking to be pampered well this isn't the place for you.
