We are in the scenic mountainous outskirts of San Jose, in the prestigious and safe Cariari area. Our year round spring like temperature has been touted in National Geographic as one of the best in the world. Great Airport Location!

We picked Adventure Inn for our first (and only) night in San Jose because of the wonderful reviews online and its close proximity to the airport. When the owner learned that we were getting married in Costa Rica he upgraded our room to a jacuzzi suite! We had a group of 20 travelers (varying in age from 6 to 80) and the hotel was perfect for everyone! They set up our Ram Luna Dinner and Shuttles and even managed to secure a nice discount! The staff was so friendly, the hotel was very clean and comfortable and the bar was awesome! They even stored our luggage for a week while we ventured to Montezuma on those small planes with luggage weight limits! The hotel is very close to the airport which was super convenient. This was a perfect spot for our whole group to meet up and we will certainly stay here again on our next trip. We had room #35 and I will be asking for the same room - loved the terrace!

Great Start Off Point!

This hotel is wonderful to start or end your Costa Rican adventure from.... we had a group of 20 and they helped organize our Ram Luna dinner, car rentals, tours, ect. The rooms are great and the staff is wonderful!

WALK PAST THE RESTAURANT, DON'T BOTHER GOING IN

Enjoyed three days at the Adventure Inn. Rooms excellent value for the money, good starting point for tours, helpful, knowledgeable staff, but... walk right past the restaurant if you feel peckish, and choose somewhere else. Steak was tough and seemed to have been thawed by microwave before being prepared. Something was defnitely wrong with the jambalaya; my stomach rebelled, felt ill for 24 hours; wine servings definitely meager for the price. Restaurant definitely the weak link in what is otherwise a very attractive, modest hotel.
