Price is Deceiving
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/14/10
$99 + maid fee + electricity fee+ resort fee+maint. fee+ room tax etc. -. over 35%. It's total reap off. On top of that they hold so much money on your CC over the cost of the room. Roaches at night.

good time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/09
We thought the place was ok. A little quirky but good value for the price. The bed was clean we had maid service everyday. The room was large and had enough room for the 2 of us to have a lttle space. We thought the breakfast was amazing fantastic selection. The pool was good just warm enough for the cold blooded to cool off. The position was ok within walking distance to the shopping area. We would recommend this hotel as cheap and cheerful.wysiwyg. pattie

It was fine~
By Giselle, 7/14/09
Compared to the high pricing of the other hotels, I am a Bahamian that went to the Bahamas to accompany my Boyfriend in obtaining his visa!! We had a wonderful time!! The hotel was fine for the price we paid!! Now I dont know if they recently upgraded but before I went someone told me that the had done some previous renovations!! The elevators was fine and the staff that I dealt with was quite friendly!! Some of these ppl who are reviewing seem like they look for perfection in a two star hotel in future pay big bucks for top dollar hotel!!!

PLEASE...NEVER STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/08
The internet picture is a LIE!. I just returned home yesterday and all the bad reviews were accurate.. Sorry I didn't read them prior to arriving. Old out dated, the phone was non working, the power went out, the tub was stained and maid service was sporadic. No restaurants, this place is a dump disguised as a functional hotel.. I think there may have been 20 people staying there and now I know why!!!!

don't ever go here!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/08
The elevators were extremely slow, the stairs are a better bet. The staff, excluding the daily excursions lady, was extremely disappointing. Very rude and discomforting. They did not explain anything other than how to get drugs and how much it would cost. The daily food voucher we had was only good for breakfast, half the time. They would occasionaly accept it for lunch/dinner. The power in the room often went out, along with the cable. The phone worked for 6 out of the 8 days we spent there. There was a $10.00 a day charge, per person for electric/maid service, our room was only cleaned once, for $160.00. The pools were a mess. Naked kids swimming in the pool and running around, However you are not allowed to eat in the restaurant without proper dress. Bugs in the room and the drinking water in the restaurant. The tub doesn't drain, water was warm. The stay was completely and utterly a disaster. The only thing good was the 10 minute walk to the straw market, BUT there is another hotel, half the price closer, TOWNE HOTEL, it might be worse, but better for the money. I would suggest an all inclusive resort at 10 times the price, then the horrible vacation this hotel was responisble for.During checkout, we were charged for phone calls we could not have made because phone service was out. All in all, please do not ruin your vacation by staying here, enjoy it by staying somewhere else.

Disgusting!
By Jules, 6/23/08
From the first day we got there we had problems. We should've left but stayed anyway...big mistake! The staff was rude, incompetent, and obviously didn't care. I had maid service one out of five days and always had to call or go get whatever I needed myself. I took a shower, walked from the bathroom to the room and in those ten steps my feet were BLACK! Even though I complained constantly I still had to pay their "mandatory" maid service fee! This hotel was disgusting!! It was my first trip to the Bahamas. This hotel ruined my entire experience and I will be writing a review to every possible site letting others know about the terrible experience I had. Never again will I ever visit the Bahamas and I definitely would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone...ever!!

Never Again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/20/08
This place was disgusting!! We were told we'd have a balcony, but it turned out to be a sliding window with a bar going across, so you couldn't get out. It looks nothing like the picture on their website. The TV worked, but it was blurry. The beds sunk in, so you ended up with a backache. The personnel were not helpful at all. They charge you an additional $10 per person per day for Maid and Water. Also, we were scared for our lives, so we couldn't go out after dark. The taxis charge more than what's posted. They hound you everywhere you turn to do the TimeShare presentation. Everything is very expensive for what you get, the service is slow and the people are uncaring. The restaurants in the area run out of food and a lot of the food that's left is awful. I will never go back!!

Not for the faint of heart
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/07
Our initial room was disgusting and made our daughter cry. After some choice words from my wife, we were shown another room which was of the quality we expected from this type of hotel. The staff was friendly and dinner in the restaurant was tasty although the service was particularly slow. With better food choices in the area, there is no need to eat there more than once. The general rule of thumb on this hotel is buyer beware - the gift shop sold us outdated postage stamps and there are of course the maid and electricity "service charges". There are only 2 reasons to stay here: the location and I suppose the price.

We did not believe what we read before booking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/07
In my many years of travelling, I have never had such an awful experience and lived in such a dirty hotel. On arrival the reception was good, but when we got in our room, we quickly ran out pulling all four luggage behind us. We headed straight back to the front desk, and asked Please, no, we cnnot stay in that room. We were asked why? because that room was too dirty, the carpet was awfully stained dirty, no towels, there were ants all over, but the straw that broke the carmel's back was a chair. Oh my! I don't want to discribe the condition of the chair, it makes me sick just to think about it. Please understand, this is no exaggeration. Please, somebody needs to get to these people and demand that this place be upgraded, cleaned, maintained, renovated. They promised to transfer us to their upgrade renovated room with new carpet, but it never happened. It is unacceptable that anyone would have to put up with this even if the hotel room was given at no cost, talk less about paying for such deplorable accommodation.
