Cortona Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort, Anaheim

The room was fine for what we paid, but watch out! They advertise on the internet "2 blocks from Disney". That is only technically true, based on the long distances between cross streets, but the actual distance was really probably over 1/2 mile. I wanted to avoid the ART bus hassle, so I specifically went for a "close in" hotel. I was very disappointed to have to buy bus tickets for the whole family. Cortona is basically lying, and should 'fess up that it's MUCH farther than what most people understand as "2 blocks".

Okay, first I'll be clear. When in Anaheim, we usually stay at the Hilton or Marriott, but this was a last minute trip and I used Hotwire for this booking. I asked for a THREE STAR and got this. I also found out it is an old Days Inn after we got home. Had I known this I'd never booked. So anyway, the frront desk clerk was great at check-in. Friendly and funny. We were also made aware of a resort fee of like 8 bucks. For what? The room was clean and we were able to park right in front of our room (103). That's it. The room was clean. It also was very noisy. I expected some noise because we were next to a stairwell, but everything shook and sounded like it was ini the room with us. I heard the couple upstairs "coupling" and the people next to them with kids running back and fourth all night. Next door, the whole family argued about what to watch on TV. The only thing they agreed on was keeping the volume at 75! On to the bathroom. Again, very clean, but my pet peeve is a shower that lacks a place for placing wash cloths and shampoo/soap at a usable position. Not down at my knees, but eye level. Except for one tiny soap holder way down at the tub edge, there was none. There was also no where to hang towels except back on the towel rack with the dry towels. There were holes on the door and wall where a hook once lived, but never replaced. The mirror had a long crack or scratch from top to bottom, but again, the sink area was clean. The beds. Ugh. The beds were stiff and uncomfortable and the pillows, (only two per bed and no extras in closet), were small and in dire need of stuffing. Between the sad bed, miniscule pillows and sharing every neighbors waking move, I had the worst sleep and backache since camping on a tent floor. Oh, and the TV is old and had maybe 15 channels. This is NOT a three star hotel. This is a one and a half star MOTEL. Remember, it was a Days Inn and the pictures they use on the website are nice, but VERY misleading.

I stayed at the Cortona attending the NAMM Convention Jan 15-18 and the Cortona was AWESOME! I had a King Room (116) and it was super clean, the maid service was percise and done early! Everytime I came back to my room it was clean and ready! The bed was fine. I read a ton of reviews before booking it and I don't get people's complaints about this place? If you want a Hilton style then book the Hilton, but if you want a clean and comfy room then book the Cortona! Awesome location for the convention center and local dining! The front desk staff rocks! The one and only complaint I have was the computer. It said $3.99 for 3 minutes and I was on for 6 minutes so my reciept said $5.46 total but my creidt card was billed $20!! $20 for 6 minutes? I didn't even bother arguing it.

Lousy front desk when we checked in very late at night coming from Denver flight. The front desk man was very rude and was trying to sell us Disney tickets when all we wanted to do was get to our room so our 5 yr old can sleep because it was past midnight! On top of lousy customer service, my legs were bitten by some kind of bugs on from the beddings.

The Cortona was a great value for the amentities and location. My fiance and I took a little weekend venture to disneyland to celebrate our anniversary since that was where we had our first kiss and we had a very welcoming stay. The front desk was very helpful with tips and offered us disneyland tickets if we were going for more than one day, and asked if we needed an internet cable. The front desk does have some dry humor which my offend some people but I found it amusing. Pool and spa were great. I'm sure the bad reviews are by nearby competitors. This is a good place if you're going to disneyland!

rude staff, General Manager seems to have no experience with hotels. breakfast room is filthy, we found dead rats in the buffet area. bread and pastries have molds. our toilet was clogged and never got fixed. and the general manager told us to take a shower in a different hotel. this was the worst hotel weve ever been to. nice pictures in their website but very bad service filthy hotel.

This was the begining to a great family vacation. We were in need of an inexpensive but comfortable place to stay close to disneyland and we found it!My husband was home with us for his 2 weeks off from a deployment in Iraq.Our strongest worry was spending $ and time in a hotel that would hinder us from enjoying our time and our kids not being comfprtable as well. The customer service which we received after a 10 hour drive was great. We got nothing but great smiles and everyone we encountered was very helpful. We even received some toiletries we had forgotten.The gentlemen at the desk were very nice and did not hesitate to help our stay be more comfortable.We received all the info needed to get to and from disneyland and they had a shuttle schedule right up front.Our room was very clean and comfortable, enough we decided to stay an extra night.The suroundings were kept very clean. The facilities availaible to us were great since we were coming in from out of state. Thank you Days Inn for a great begining & end to our well needed R&R. We strongly reccomend this hotel for both $ and comfort.

The biggest problem with this hotel is the website had us pay an advance deposit of one night, which would have been fine, but upon check out they had no record of this (all we had was the email which was vage) and they refused to apply the deposit we had already paid to our bill! Days Inn Customer Service wrote a report indicating the manager or owner of the property should contact us to resolve this and that never happened. We contacted them again with no results. We will not be returning. Regarding the property itself, the room was small, not a suite. It was clean, however noisy. One night a person was talking on the phone (loudly) outside past midnight. The next night a person checked into the room next to ours after 2:00a.m and then stood outside the door talking and laughing until my husband went outside to tell him to stop. After reading good reviews from past visitors, we were disappointed!

If you are looking to go to disneyland this is the perfect hotel because it is in very close range. It is a small hotel and does not have many luxuries, but is a good bargain if you are not planning on spending all of your time in your hotel room. Close to shopping and about 20 min from the nearest beach.
