We had a lovely stay with the Back Bay Inn
By PhyllisM, 7/29/09
I definitly would recommend people to stay at this Inn. We had a breath taking view from our room. We stayed at the hotel from the time we arived untill the time we left. The town seemed very small. With everyday people who all had smiles on there face, which was so welcoming. The room was very cozy. My husband commented that it was clean. I myself found our room clean and neat. No special amenites just basic shampoo and soap. The garden they have around the Inn is full of flowers. Thousands in bloom. My only complaint would have to be that on our last day it was frustrating when there was no one at the front desk. I stood around for 5 minites. Went back and forth between my room and the front desk. Waiting to return our room key and get a receipt. We were on a tight schedual to get home on time. We've never stayed at a hotel where you could walk in and not find someone behind the desk. This could be a big problem for some. The overall stay was worth the money. We will return again and again.

Peace and quiet
By Karen Pierce, 4/17/09
From the time I checked in till the time I checked out, my stay was wonderful! The bed was so comfortable, the room was spotless and the staff is wonderful! This was my second stay and I will absolutely be going back. I've never had a problem with voices from the next rooms! It's the perfect place to go and unwind! The locals walk past the gardens with their dogs and everyone is so friendly; unlike many other places I've stayed in the area. And if you are looking for a place to have a small wedding, this is it! My daughter was married there and it was beautiful beyond words. I highly recommend the Back Bay Inn.

Pretty to look at....but room noise a problem!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/07
The Inn itself is very pretty; nice landscaping and right on the estuary. We stayed in a room with a balcony so we could enjoy the beautiful serene view. The wine and cheese in the evenings are a nice touch. The staff is friendly. HOWEVER: our king bed dipped in the middle and we ended up with neck/back cricks! The walls are very thin: when the people in the room next to ours used their bathroom the water in the pipes and the vent fan were loud enough to be bothersome. We could also hear them talking! If the Innkeepers invest in soundproofing and some new mattresses, we might go back....

Peaceful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/07
Bay Bay Inn is located in a sleepy, quiet location and is also very private. The food at the small restaurant is excellent...all made from scratch. The room decor is older but very clean with a beautiful view of the bay. Our check-in person was not very friendly, very curt and formal. Luckily we only dealt with her during that time.

Perfect!
By William, 9/29/06
A beautiful location on the Bay waterfront with a beautiful landscapping and a picturesque Inn with nice rooms. We spent the weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. I don't think that we could find a better location on the Central Coast. A hot breakfast, wine and cheese at night, local restaurants in walking distance and beautiful hiking trails nearby made for a great weekend.

Exceptional
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/06
The property has been recently renovated, and the location cannot be duplicated. The bay is a perfet place to sit and relax,to read a book and enjoy the bird sanctuary. They have upagraded the breakfast, so that you can have a hot meal or homemade muffins from the cute restaurant on the premeises. The people are friendly, and the Back Bay Inn is a place we will return to over and over again. If you like nature and a "Mayberry-type" feeling, this is the place for you. Also, there are many fine restaurants within minutes of the INN. We can't wait to return!

perfect getaway!
By William, 8/24/06
This place is a perfect getaway! Secluded, beautiful beyond belief located in a nature preserve on the back bay of Morro Bay. Flowers all over, hiking, biking, kayaking, or just 'peace' and it's affordable. We'll be back over and over again.

Sadly we won't return
By Jeff, 7/8/06
For the amount of money this place charges, my spouse and I were looking forward to staying here. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The rooms had old decor and didn't feel modern at all. The bathroom was dirty (had some hair in the tub) and that really turned us off. The bed was not very comfy and we could easily hear the people in the room next door to us and above us. To summarize, the rate was pretty expensive and we didn't feel as if it was worth it. There are other places a bit north and south which offer a better value.
