FingerLakes Inn, Canandaigua

The room was dirty and moldy. The review titled "Disgusting" is 100% correct. The other reviewers must be relatives of the owner. I called the chamber of commerce and plan to call the health department as well. I would never have stayed, but I foolishly did not have a reservation that night, and wound up exhausted and searching for anything available at a very late hour. This was a rip off at 98.00. It would have been a rip off at any price. I should have slept in my car.

DIrty! Garbage picked furnishings! Television from the 1970's, carpet so dirty it was sticky, dirty bed, stainless steal "camper" sink in bathroom, the most disgusting motel! How does it pass health and safety inspections??? NOTHING like the pictures or description! They give Canadaigua tourism a "black eye". Apparently they are really in business to handle (and take advantage of) the overflow of FLCC students who couldnt secure on campus housing. It appears to be very unhealthy and unsafe. FLCC should protect their strudents from these scam artists! SHAME! Where is the health department in Canandaigua??

The Finger Lakes Inn is what one might call "a Boutique" MOTEL.A VERY affordable one. There is definitiely a feeling of family, the staff is really enthusiastic about their little paradise :Canadaigua, the rooms are SPACIOUS, spotless, and well stocked. The television serves up a myriad of interesting channels; menus ( and personal reviews!) are everywhere; the lobby is like a cool little library of CURRENT, fun, funny, sophisticated, gossipy, and standard( Oprah, Cosmo,RedbookMartha's Living) magazines, novels and samples of shampoos, conditioners, makeup;Just about anythingI The continental breakfast is simple, but sufficient, their coffee is SUPREME! We have decided to move to Canandaigua and will be staying here for the 1st month while we look for a house.Do not underestimate this lovely way to save money on lodging and use it for the water park, Bristol Mountain, dinner at any of the fantastic restaurant or even a wine tasting at a culinary school/restaurant/somolier training institute around the corner. Or how about a cooking or baking class there?
