Never Again, not even one night!
By sally, 3/13/11
The pictures on the internet are from long ago. They are very misleading. This place is a dump! I am not sure that the door even locked from the inside. The mattress was at least twenty years old. The bathtub did not drain. The electrical plugs did not work properly. I thought I could stay here for just one night, but I was very tempted to loose my $130.00 and find something else. This place is ready for the wrecking ball and build something new! Never again will I stay at this Howard Johnson, not even for one night!

Not great, but not bad either
By LSUfan, 9/15/10
Stayed here for a Texas A&M football game. The checkin was quick and friendly. Room was obviously old and smelled of new carpet. Reading the reviews, I knew this was not going to be the nicest room I had ever stayed in. But, it was a mostly comfortable bed and pleasant stay. If you are coming in expecting an elegant hotel with all the frills, don't stay here. But, if you want a place to just crash after watching a great football game, get up in the morning and leave, this is not a bad choice.

What a DUMP
By Dan, 4/8/08
Door keys (cards) almost never worked. Most electrical outlets didn't work. Bathtub drain wouldn't hold water. Didn't provide new towels/wash clothes when house keeping took the dirty ones away.

Never Never Not Even 1 Night
This is the sorriest excuse for a Howard Johnson I have ever seen. I didn't know "motels" still existed like this and could charge $100 a night for a room like this. It reeked of clorox yet the furniture was dirty and the carpet and bathroom looked so old I wouldn't even stay there. I left and spent the night on someone's sofa to avoid this room. There was a soccer tourny in town so the prices were jacked up and this is no more than a 29.00 a night motel. I feel really sorry for the athletes I saw checking in. LOW CLASS MOTEL! Stay away.

Strike Out!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/6/07
Hole in the wall, chewed gum on the bed, BAD parking area (had to walk to room because we couldnt park in the parking slot because of a fence), broken safety lock (like room did not lock from inside), went to check out and staff was talking on the phone in a little room and the television was turned up so high she had no idea was even in the building...would have been better off staying in our vehicle for the softball tournament.

definitely average
By Iked, 7/7/06
It was old, but seemed clean and freshly painted. The TV's are so old they don't have a sleep mode, though. The shower drained VERY slowly and the electrical outlets need to be replaced. It was cheap - and the bed was comfortable.

$50 Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/20/05
This room is what I expected. We needed somewhere to sleep after getting in from a late flight and had to get up early and go to an orientation close to the hotel. We were looking for sleeping only - and that is what you get with this room. Room was small but clean and cheap - $50 hotel.
