I dont usually waste my time writing reviews, but this is a must. I just stayed here and we were hastled the entire time. I paid $780 for 3 rooms for 2 nights for 12 people, 4 to a room. We paid the full amount by credit card prior to arrival and when my brother tried to check in they wouln't give him a room key until he paid another $80 cash. Turns out the next day there was actually a worker that spoke english and reviewed the cameras only to see hotel manager pocketed $40 of the $80 he demanded. Then the night guy called my room at 1am middle of the night, demanding more money, $20 per person, per night or they were calling to police. We told him we wanted to talk to the manager and he wouln't give us a name or number. I will never stay here again and I would recomend staying far away. These people were crazy and I wouldn't put my family near this abuse again. Place smelled very bad in the hallways also, like cat urine. Like I said, Im not one to complain but this was a must...
I've been to many Super 8's and this one exceeds all of them. Just stayed here this past weekend for my son's graduation at Northwestern University. Staff was nice, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Free wifi...couldn't ask for more.
Hotel is run down .limited parking.went to use the iron and it had brown gunk on bottom.called front desk and attendant said would try to find another.Brought one to room ,had a short, kept turning on and off.ended up ruining my daughtr in laws $40 blouse. there clerk tried to bill us twice. the only thing nice was the beds ,very comfortable but wont stay here again!
I liked this place because it was a very clean room, clean bathroom, friendly staff, close to the L-train, and they had a very nice breakfast. The one thing I didn't like about it was the noisy shower. The water came out and it would basically "scream" at me. Otherwise, a very good stay. I will definitely stay again.
Only advantage this Super 8 has is that it's near the lake, other than that, nothing special. This motel is old and run-down. The Super 8 in Morton Grove is only 15 minutes west and it's much better, cleaner, and nicer. I'm back to staying at that one next time I'm in town. Worth the extra drive.
The room was dirty and smelled like smoke. There was burn holes and marks everywhere. The hallway was smokey and smelled so bad. Maybe just the smoking rooms but that is what i had and I don't smoke. The location was fine and the staff was nice and helped us get directions to places. Overall besides the smoke it was fine.
VERY neat and clean. Near the lake and restaurants. Room and hotel in excellent condition. Able to stay for free with TripRewards points! Free parking. Good breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again.
