Average Tour Guided Destination Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/3/11
I spent a month in the Liberty 4 Hotel which was at the company’s expense. The hotel is a transit tour guide hotel which means guest are always coming and going and staying for 24/48 hours. There was in my opinion one very friendly and hospitable young lady at the front desk that seems to know what she was and is doing, whereas the others could and desperately need to take a course in people skills and hospitality. They were rude, not ever had change from your currency to there’s and or their currency to smaller currency; misunderstood whatever you were trying to convey, and rarely greeted you good morning or good evening. The bell attendants were most friendly and helpful and always greeted me with eagerness, enthusiasm, and attentiveness. The restaurant staff was also very courteous, enthusiastic, and friendly and of course with one exception, a cook by the name “Du” she had no personality skills whatsoever and rarely if ever “good morning.” My last day at the hotel will be a most memorable one; I was going to stay another night, so when I inquired at the front desk about staying another night at my expense; I was quoted the same rate my company was being charged, which of course was a high rate. I mentioned to the (very rude) receptionist that the rate was higher than the Internet rate, she responded, “then apply on the Internet,” and walked away. It was then I decided to check out, notified my company immediately, upon my return trip/visit, DO NOT BOOK ME IN ANY LIBERTY 1, 2, 3 OR 4 HOTELS.
PROS – Bell Staff & Restaurant Staff
CONS – Front Desk Staff, Elevators (small, early 20th Century) and slow; hotel noisy, middle of all tours agencies
Will not recommend, will not ever stay again.
