Part of the reason we chose this cruise, in fact most of the reason, was price. My husband and I had been to LA several times, but never to San Diego or Catalina. We wound up flying out on Easter Sunday at 8am because we were flying on Southwest Airlines on a reward ticket. We stayed at the Doubletree in San Pedro because it was close to the pier and they offer a free shuttle to and from the cruise terminal. I also had enough Hilton points for a free stay.
