...For dinner Friday evening, we had reservations at the Atomium Restaurant. Traci booked it earlier that week. The Atomium is Brussels' iconic tourist attraction. Its unique shape represents the arrangement of atoms in an elementary iron crystal (Whew! It's been a long time since I took a chemistry class.). It was constructed in 1958 for the World's Fair. Among other attractions, the Atomium has a restaurant in its highest "atom". Our hotel was located just a short walk from the Gare Centrale train station.
