The flight is uneventful, and I actually land at JFK slightly ahead of time. Now, a cab really is the ideal way to enter a new city. Forget the subway, you can't see anything down there. Driving into Manhattan at night, the city skyline is so beautiful and familiar, I want to just wrap NYC up in a big bow and take it home with me. Plus there's a flat rate of $45 from JFK to any spot in Manhattan. Can't beat that. I get to Kim's place, which is smack dab in the middle of Soho.
